- AI agent
- Software that reads a request, decides the steps and does them, like looking up an order.
- Orchestrator
- The part that decides which agent or person handles each request.
- MCP
- Model Context Protocol: the open standard ChatGPT and Claude use to work with other apps.
- Trace
- The record of one AI answer: what it read, what it did and in what order.
- Practice conversation
- A scripted chat that checks the AI still answers well after a change.
- Open source
- Software whose code is public, so you can run your own copy.
- License
- The terms for using open source. MIT and Apache allow business use; AGPL asks you to share your changes with your users.
- Self-hosted
- Running the software on your own server, so the data stays with you.
- Helpdesk
- One shared inbox for every customer question, from any channel.
